How Shall We Then Read?

The History, Theology, & Spirituality of Reading

From Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon

we will gather to listen, discuss, and delve deep into the concept of Reading and how it impacts the Christian life.

The main speaker is Dr. Sharon Jebb Smith (MTS Regent College, Ph.D. University of St. Andrews), an adjunct lecturer at Regent College, Union Theological Belfast, and University of Aberdeen. She will be joined by Dr. Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson (MTS Regent College, Ph.D. University of St. Andrews). We greatly anticipate the infomed engagement of the conference participants.

Lectures, group discussions, readings & responsive readings, guided walks, and conversations over shared meals will all be a part of the weekend.

A Sunday service will be led by Rev. Valerie Michaelson.

Accommodation will not be provided on site, but a list of nearby options and other more specific conference details will be made available closer to the date.

Registered attendees will be informed when the 'Recommened Reading List' and other pertinent items are posted.
